Put new seat belts in...mini picture DIY

I'm not really in the mood to type much so this is going to be a little picture DIY. I found a Jetta in the JY and yanked the adjustable shoulder harnesses. I remember reading that the 2-door wouldn't take these as the two holes needed for the sliders were not there. I crossed my fingers hoping that I would be able to put them in since I have a 4-door. It turns out that after taking off the b-pillars I was in luck.

Here you go.

Thanks. I was so stoked to find these. They always seem to go for quite a bit when people are selling them. I'm guessing they aren't too common.

Thanks...the small black bits are a little faded but they are in good condition.

Last set I saw for sale on the tex was $75 so like I said I was stoked to get them. I paid $10 for it all but that's b/c the long trim pieces wouldn't fit in the tool box under the tools.

I don't think so....maybe just ground out the wire going to it. Mine was done by the PO.

Exactly....The new shoulder harness I put in will click into the female end that should be attached to the seat already. I did this b/c the scirocco that these seats came out of originally had the shoulder belts attached to the pillar as opposed to going to the door. The PO who put them in was able to retro the shoulder belt off the original seat but not the lap belt. Even after I got new lap belts from the JY there was no way to attach them to the Rocco seats. I've been driving way too long with only a shoulder belt and no lap belt. I was very happy to put these in. I feel much safer...as does my GF...lol

She told me once..."it's not you're driving that scares me..." although it should...lol, "it's these f*cking belts...or the lack of them"
