We'll see you all at Bimmerfest tomorrow as the car will be at the Borla exhibit with a prototype Borla exhaust and a KW suspension.

Hi All -

I've got some filling in to do on this story, but the good news is we manage to debut the new 135i race car in this past weekends BMW Club Races at Willow Springs.

Hehe, we like to be trail blazers

The funny thing is, the thing we were worried about most (the car going into 'limp home' mode) never happened once all weekend.

What didn't last at WSIR was the left front tire. We only had 225/40x18s on the front and with virtually no camber, the outside edge of the left front pretty much melted off the car. Look closely in this pic

Hi All -

Well, I finally have some time to do some catching up on this thread.

All hi res build-up pics are in this album:

Where to begin? Well, to race a car, you have to have a roll cage

You need a fire system

You need a racing seat, harnesses and a center net

You need some kind of suspension and alignment - we're running a KW Variant street kit at this time to lower the car and help handling

You'll need wider wheels and R-compound tires. We'll start with BBS CHs and of course, Nitto NT01s

What's her car - the offsets are a little whacky compared to what we've known for the BMWs up till now.

Got a couple on the rear bumper until I re-livery
