Im pretty picky when it comes to this: 1. Keep separate towels for each product and step. 2. Only wash when you need to, spray wipe products are nice to use in-between needed washing. 3. Spray wax and maybe 1 real: wax on wax off per year. Here is how I do it: 1. Add soap to bucket with sponge mitt and a rag. 2. Spray down vehicle to wash off/loosen any grit. 3. Start from the top and work you way down. 4. Use the rag for the wheels and exhaust (most dirty items) 5. Get shammy and dry from top to bottom. (see step 9 if you want to apply special wax) 6. Use separate towel/rag to dry wheels and exhaust (I never use the shammy on these items) If your going the extra mile: 7. Open up each door and wipe clean the door jams and trunk jam (other rag, these areas get pretty dirty) 8. Use a spray on wax or wax your car the traditional way. 9. New products that spray on your car once wet and dry will leave waxy coat, I like this and they have worked well for me. 10. Pull out mats and spray wash and wipe with soapy rag. (I have rubber mats so this step works for me.) 11. Vacuum and wipe out any dirty areas: cup holders, center console, door bins 12. Use product to wipe down door cards, dash, center console, and other plastic items. 13. Use leather product to clean and condition surfaces. (use appropriate cleaning product for cloth seats) Your done! Enjoy a really clean vehicle and if your extra crazy read step 14. 14. About 1 per year I wipe down the engine bay, especially after winter where up in Michigan you can get some saltiness. They sell engine cleaner products but usually a damp rag and a dry rag after will do the trick.
