This was a two owner car when I picked it up. I know people hate the lights, but this is a true lightweight 996. It’s got few computers, no traction control, cable throttle, very mechanical. It came with the IMS done, along with $8K worth of maintenance. I also bought a set of Mk2 GT3 wheels and a pair of GT3 split control arms up front. She’s a great “poverty Porsche” daily driver!!

This car is actually more fun to drive than my 2004 GT3, as a road car. It's got more torque, is lighter (about 2860#) and is more fun to just drive without worry of piling on the miles. I think these first gen 996 Porsches are the best kept secret in the automotive industry. This car had a ton of maintenance done, and when I picked it up in Florida and drove it home to Virginia I put just under 1,000 miles on it in less than 18 hours. $19K got me a true Rear engine sportscar from an iconic manufacturer. It's an amazing fun car and I may buy another just because!!

The mechanical feel is missing in a lot of these new cars. That car looks like a lot of fun.
