An introduction to another project in the garage.

In this video I cut the windshield to lower the roof line by 2.5". I have never done this before. I'm not sure if anyone has done a 240sx chop top so this will be unique.

In this video I get the 240 prepped by removing the convertible top sealant. I also chop out some extraneous metal bits that were added to the car to give it some structure when the roof was cut off.

Full length video of removing the residue under the convertible top and prepping the car for a new roof.

In this video I prep the car to get shortened, I prep all the areas i will weld and I start removing unnecessary parts, like the trunk. These videos take a lot of time. If you like them and want to see me do more and better things

Thanks. My goal with all the cars is to apply old techniques from the Classic hot rod era to more modern cars.

Cool idea! I imagine that could be tougher with the unibody cars these days but it would be really interesting to see.

Never seen a chop top S13, looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
