After leaving the window open during a rainstorm, the window switch stopped working. Picked up a cheap one from the local parts yard.

pry on the tabs with your screwdriver to remove the switch.

The switch was extremely dirty. Hope it wasn’t also left in the rain! Cleaned it up nice.

To pull the switch plate from the door, pry from the front of the plate, it will eventually pop out.

Disconnect the old switch from the harness by pulling back on the fancy tab. Kind of surprised by how nice the plug is.

Before going further, plug the “new” switch in to make sure it works. Thankfully it does!

Pry back in the housing near the tabs to pull the old switch. Be careful that you don’t crack it. Now press in the new switch until it snaps in.

Install the switch for panel in from the rear first, then push in the front. You may have to smack it a couple times.

Now the window opens!
