Replacing the headlight bulbs in my CC

One of the headlights went out on the CC. Replacing it is an easy job.


Pop the hood and on the back side of the headlight is a large circular panel that you can unscrew to access the bulb. You can kind of see it in the picture below.



With the cover off you can see the back of the bulb. Turn it about 1/4 turn and you can pull it out of the housing.



You will need to pop the bulb out of the plug. It is kind of a pain, it helps to have a small screwdriver to help remove it.



Here is the burnt out bulb vs the new bulb.



Insert the new bulb into the socket in the same orientation as the old one. There is a tab on the side as you can see in the above photo that will guide you. It may take some pressure to insert it fully. 

Reinstall the bulb and the cover. 



It’s best to replace the bulbs in pairs, if one burnt out the other will follow soon after. Enjoy your brighter lights!
