Nielex Knuckle Support

Compliments of Cyberbug @ www.miata.net

Some you may know that I have the Nielex FSTB, which I installed to replace the Kansai FSTB.

I have been extremely pleased the Nielex design and the product quality.

Nielex had told last year through Rev9 (after I got the FSTB) that they were developing a new product to improve the handling. Well finally they have developed and tested the product. In Japan they have sold several hundred of these.

Since My experience with the Nielex FSTB was so good last time, I decided to get these. I think again I am the only one with these on the this side of the pond.

I got them through Rev9.

I just received them today. See pictures, extremely light, wonderfully built as the FSTB.

I will install these tonight and report on the install and drive tomorrow.

I have a very stiff setup - Ohlins, FSTB, front RB brace, Autoexe full brace, Kansai rear brace, Kansai diff support, engine mounts, engine brace, Autoexe adj. links, MS Says.

Plus 245/40/17s AD07s on Volk 17x9

Its suppose to make a difference in high speed turns - so lets see

The install was pretty easy.

1. Impressed by the construction again.

2. Came with two pins as well.

3. The three bolts in question came off very easily - torqued them back to 50lbft

4. The fit was perfect and it just dropped in place, all that was required was remove the wheel and keep the steering straight. Nielex has obviously spent the time in R/D for a fit like this. I like installs like this.

5. I did not use the pins that came with the kit, I installed two new SS Cotter Pins. similar to the OEM install.

6. And that was it.

I haven't driven it yet. I will drive a couple of times before I report back.

According to Nielex - the difference is quite noticeable and its there #1 seller in Japan and all the feedback they have received from their customers is +ve.

So we'll see.

Got the car back today and drove a little.

You will notice a difference is high speed turns when you are really pushing it.

If you have all the braces you may want to try this one too.
