Well, not much to report. The car is mainly tucked away for the winter now, but I had to move around some thing at the shop today so I snapped a quick photo.

It's been sitting on 3 piece Schmidt TH-Line wheels, which are nice but I'm not blown away by the look on the car. They're fine for winter storage though

Small updates on things that were bad on the car since day one

I haven't been taking the car out during the Pennsylvania salty winter, so it's time for a good scrub and a little love before it gets driven around again.

Torn drivers seat outer bolster

The front seat outer bolster was torn, which has always annoyed me. The front seats are both optional height adjustable and heated cloth seats, which are fairly unusual, but while in Europe last month I came across a great condition standard seat, which I brought back as a donor.

Both seats together:

Stripped the first seat apart:

More taking apart:

Back together, with the original seat frame and heating assembly:

Dented and creased hood

There was a decent sized crease on the passenger side rear of the hood, and, err, 'someone' might have dented the front of the hood with a engine hoist all the way back at the beginning when 'they' were working on getting a engine in late at night, but I can neither confirm nor deny any details. But either way, creases are a PITA, so when I was in Belgium buying parts for the business I stumbled across a very nice OEM red Polo which means.. 'new' hood time!

Smashed up front bumper

Remember all the way back at the very beginning, that the bumper had a hole in it? I imported a black bumper which was complete but not the best so instead went back to the original red one with some cunning tape disguise work. Well, the same Polo in Belgium had a pretty damn nice front bumper too, yay!

The original hole, under the caution tape:

And 'new' replacement, fresh off the boat from Europe:

That's all from this weekend's tinkering
