Project Grandpa! F150

Cuttyman9's rides

( 5 )

I inherited this pickup from my grandfather.

It’s been very tried and true the entire time I’ve driven it. Typically like with most of my cars the stuff that dais is because I was screwing with it lol.

It has 3.90 rear gears, a Detroit tru-trac, it’s lowered ~3” front and ~2” rear with djm control arms and shackles.

The front brakes are my custom concoction of Mercedes E55 AMG 8 piston calipers, Porsche Cayenne turbo 14.6” rotors and some big expensive brackets I devised.

The rotors had to be machined off the hubs and I had to use evo studs because I have a small spacer to line everything up.

I converted to a ford raptor fan and a 5 star tune.

The interior has custom mahogany door handles and mahogany Nardi steering wheel mounted with a custom hub.

I have upgraded speakers all around but I’ve forgot what brand specifically and a pioneer touch screen deck.

It has SLP side pipes (off an 05-2009 f150)

It will have some cheap headers hopefully soon too!

I’m working toward heated and cooled Lincoln Navigator seats and a maghoany trimmed console.

There is a t56 in the truck’s future along with a procharger (both of which I have, I’ve just been slow to convert finish parts accumulation)

If the 4.6 were to grenade and take the block with it I’d like to try a 6.8L v10 in its place.

My grandpa was a carpenter his whole life and thus the wood inside as a tribute to him. He bought this truck new and as a kit I got to drive it on the salt flats in Utah.
