Cockpit floor riveted & bonded in. Started to fit the base insulation layer. Two aluminum faces with a plastic airspace core. Product is called Reflectix & is used as an attic insulation stapled to the roof trusses.

Will glue it down tomorrow.  

Need to take a break from the Cobra to rebuild the A/C unit in the Xterra. After 12 years its still holding its initial gas charge but the compressor clutch has died. Installing a new Compressor W/clutch, Accumulator/Dryer, Expansion valve & orifice tube.

Dash is wired, moving on to engine management system. Hope to have a running Go-Cart in August.

Thanks for the kind words. Got the lower console finished & need to wire that up to where the under door speakers go. Rest is self contained in the box & the big pile of blue orange & yellow wires at the far left marked "heat" will drop down into the console & plug in.

Multi-tasking this week. Boring stuff so I like to change off. Installing first of 3 computers & major harness, engine cooling & interior heating.

Computers black plastic face is covered with the heat shield material. The other side has a heat sink on it.

No all black is nice. Main goal was chafe protection for all the lines.

I was playing with red fuel, blue water, X for vacuum/air & black for wires. Top of the engine is covered when in use so between the body position & the engine cover I don't think you will see much of the covering.
