Mounting a Stroud Parachute to our bolt on Parachute Mount
#1 Pull packing String and “nail”, take care to stand away and have a friend hold the inner spring so it does not shoot out and hit you.
#2 Once open, pull “tan bag and spring out and set to the side.
#3 Pull aluminum plate out of bottom of bag.
#4 put our “xplate” from upright portion of parachute mount over aluminum plate and evenly center it.
#5 mark holes with sharpie, these will be your drill holes for the mount (if you have an old run of our parachute mount simply drill your own holes in x plate ahead of time (they don’t have to be perfect).
#6 Center punch and drill out holes. We supply 1032 screws so a 13/64 drill is big enough.
#7 make sure holes were drilled properly, if not slightly oversize to match.
#8 put aluminum plate back in bottom of bag
#9 Once centered in bottom of bag, match drill the aluminum plate holes through the fabric, take care to make sure your fingers are not in the way to get hit with the drill bit. You will have to hold fabric tight for drill to go through.
#10 Use supplied 1032 button heads and nyloc nuts to secure plate to fabric and x plate on parachute mount.
#11 Repack chute as you would at the track, make sure to leave bridal cord attachment out as it will need to be attached to lower mount.
#12 put your cable through string or Remove before flight tag to secure parachute mount so it does not accidentally deploy when transporting or walking by.
#13 Use 1/2”-20 bolt and aluminum spacer to install bridal cord to the mount with bolt, washers, nylon nut.
