so last nite i decided to go ahead and order the block off kit. the other day i started taking off the intake manifold before it got dark and i only managed to get the UIM off before it got dark and i stopped for the day. today i went out and took off the LIM and cleaned alittle. it started raining shortly after i had taken the manifold off so i decided to fire up the compressor and clean the runners with a flapper wheel. i did alittle of the upper mani and while the lower was sitting in degreaser i took the intake elbow that came with the car (unknown brand) and began cleaning the inside of it as it was alittle rough. my compressor started getting hot so i called it a nite.
i think tomorrow i'm gonna take off the turbo and manifold and examine everything. i also wanna take off the coil pack bracket and clean everything up around there. i need to get a big box and start putting in all the pieces i'm gonna sandblast. i think that'll probably be the best thing. after all the block off plates are installed and i figure out which plugs i don't need i want to either remove them from the wire harness or tape them back. the wiring harness is in rough shape so i'm wanting to take it off and rewrap it.
alittle question about the engine harness, since my state (MS) doesn't have emissions should i just go ahead and remove the sensor connectors i don't need? i think it'd be cleaner and i don't think i'm gonna need them in the future.

you're right. it would suck to need a plug and not have it. i know there are some connectors i can definitely cut tho. just not sure which ones. i think most of the one's on the intake mani that are blocked can be cut right?
also today i found this in the 2nd intake port (the smaller one closest to the firewall)
i know it can't be good. what is it? i can feel another one in the other small port as well.
how are the injectors diffusers installed?
as far as removing the plugs and all i guess i won't mess with too many of the plugs. i've got an auto trans right now and i'll most likely be using the apexi pc for engine management so i'll check and see which plugs i can remove for sure.
as far as plans for the car, i really wanna use the car as mostly a weekend toy but also be able to take it out for cruising and meets. i'd like to get into alittle bit of racing. not much around my area tho. people mostly drag race here. i wanna be able to corner and sill be fast. maybe scca or some type of road racing. i'd eventually like to be able to take the car to different tracks around the south and have some fun but that's a ways away still. for now i'd be happy to get the car on the road and go hang out at a few of the local meets.
