Small update , I am having some problems with the tune , ECU or the fuel system , I cannot pinpoint it yet !The motor will start fine and idle around 13.6afr then it begins to lean out progressively until it stalls , sometimes it idles ok but when I hit the gas it goes wayyy lean (20+) which also causes it to stall or not move at all ! so far I have changed injectors , re-plumbed the FPR , checked fuel pressures to and from the motor , removed the internals of the check valves ,checked voltages at thw pumps, turn off all limiters and compensations in the ECU and still nothing !! I am stomped right now.

Hi all ! after a long hiatus I am finally back!!!! I've been pre-occupied with work and building a new home for my family ,now that that's done I am getting back into the FD. I am still experiencing the same "lean out" issue which is now preventing the engine from idling for longer than 5 seconds at a time! I/we did some re-wiring , checked over the fuel system completely , checked the ECU and software and all functioned perfectly which suggests that the problem is actually unique to the car.It still definitely is a fuel delivery issue but it still appears to be electrically based so we are still looking in that area. The next phase planned is a complete re-wire using two brand new A/B harnesses .

Seems to be a timing issue , I got it started a couple times since but it still isn't sorted yet, during my checks I came across an anomalie with the rotary engines and the ViPec system. The parameter known as the trigger angle , which is used to set the timing during the trigger calibration procedure varies greatly from engine to engine ! mine is set at 10 , my buddies at 24 and the plug and play maps supplied by them vary from -6 to -8 ! this just seems odd because TDC and -20 ATD is at the same place on the e shaft / FD front pulley assembly

Yes I sucessfully completed that procedure , first I physically verified TDC at the crank/pulley and locked the ECU to TDC (set maps to 0 deg and have TDC mark lined up perfectly with pointer) , after this I looked for the -20ATDC mark following the above procedure and it to lined up perfectly. Just to be sure I also visuslly compared the trigger wheel marking positions with an old drawing I have from HALTECH and it was spot on.

Success at last !!! the problem turned out to be a damaged power wire to primary injector #1 ! I used a pre-assempled connector so i am not sure if it was purchased like this or if it happened during installation. I came across this by chance too , whilst conducting checks on the injectors (for the millionth time!) I could not determine which of the two primaries were clicking so I proceeded to snip one of the wires on the #1 (since i realized that I connected the secondary wrongly and would have to remove the entire intake manifold to correct it), as I touched it with the pliars it shorted out and burnt a main fuse ! I realized what was going on and looked at the wire more closely only to see that it was ALMOSTt completely severed which would explain why I was getting good voltage when tested ,but obviously at higher operating frequencies delivery of the correct amperage to the injector would become a problem (as i experienced for soo long!).
