93-97 ALTIMA SHIFT BOOT/E-BRAKE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Pop that little piece off around the shifter.

2. Here is what the shifter area looks like without that piece. If you have a automatic, you will have to cut the OD wire to get the shifter off, which is probably best anyway, since it leaves OD on all the time.

3. Here we pull the shift boot as high as you want it on the shifter, and just zip tie it around. I didnt like mine too high so I tied it a little below the OD button, where you tie it is all dependant on your taste. Have fun with it. With a manual transmission, it will be obvious how to mount it because there is a piece on top of your stock boot that you need to take off and put on the new one.

4. To get the boot to stay down, some people use hot glue, or just screw it down. You might also just tuck it in around the base area. Use whichever method you like. When done, fiddle with the leather to get it the way you like and re-assemble.

If you have a manual, you'll be able to mount the bottom of the boot just the same way your OEM one was mounted.

5. Here is what it looks like installed before the trim piece is latched back into place.

6. Remove the screws that support the center console and armrest area. Remove the two screws to the side, they are a few inches down from the armrest.

7. To remove the rear part of the center console (not needed unless installing the ebrake boot!), you will also need to remove the two screws next to the shifter. Those two circles on the picture to the right show the location of those screws. When taken off, pull the rear part of the center console off completely.

8. You then have to trim the rubber to your liking. I just took mine completely off. Exacto knife would probably work best, but I just used a razor blade.

9. Secure the bottom of the boot around the metal piece under the rubber trim you just cut, you can use hot glue, tape, zip ties, screws - whatever works best for you.

Pull the ebrake cover down the ebrake and then flap it over so it overlaps wherever you want it. its a tight fit but you can use a zip tie or a rubber band or tape if you want to secure the top of the ebrake boot.

Reinstall the center console and the trim piece around the shifter.

Congratulations, you're DONE!

Useful tip

You have installed a product made out of genuine leather. As you know, to maintain a leather product in good condition, you should take care of it. We suggest occasionally (every 4-6 week for example) applying some leather conditioner/UV protector to keep your leather from drying up in the sun and cracking.
