Moving forward

Forgelines via PTS

I've now had the wheels to two different shops and they can't get the Michelin sports 345/30/19's on the wheels, keep in mind, the last shop puts tires on custom 3 piece wheels quite often for one of our car builders on this site. They now want to ship them to one of their other shops to use a different machine and tell me it won't be a problem. I watched 3 men and a mule standing on them yesterday trying to get the tire on w/no success and man was my stomach in knots.... still is. Anyone else run into this problem before? Forgeline said add more lube but they added a ton of lube and even heated the tires.....anyone. Man...I had no idea

Well I met with the tire shop yesterday. Not only could they not get the 345's on the rear wheels but they did quite a bit of damage to both the black hoops finish and the polished spoke finishes. They were really easy to deal w/as they volunteered to ship the wheels and the michelin sports back to Forgeline for installation and to pay for Forgeline to re finish the wheels. Steve and Mark have been really good to deal w/through all this also and now are expecting delivery of the wheels to repair the damages. Now I just have to sit and wait again.

So I really don't have any more updates pics of the car as it's sitting somewhere in a shop? Though it hasn't kept me front spending. Since we all likes pic's, here's a few quick ones.
Finished the polished valve cover covers.

Finished all the window original window trims and painted them black along w/aftermarket drip rail trim.

Don't know if you've seen these but I've incorporated a 68 camaro rear bumper on the bird, cut/narrow/shaved and painted.

Gettin' prepped for music, stepped up and bought a three way hertz speaker system. ml1600's, ml700's and mltweets.

Couple more.
Screamin' performance sent me some of their kick panel speaker enclosures which will be wrapped in red leather.

Header built by Stainless Headers. Ground clearance is an issue so we stopped them just shy of the firewall, will transition to oval tubing to x-pipe then out round down driveline tunnel into a set of Spintech's out and over the axle. After I do an engine start up I send the headers and exhaust in for coating.
