Yesterday I got the windshield out (had the auto glass guys pull it when they replaced my MR2's windshield), removed the rear end, front brakes/hubs, brake, clutch, and fuel lines, wiring harness, and steering column. The car is bare except for the front suspension/subframe and I'll pull that this week!

I also removed the entirely useless sunroof panel that was no longer housing a sunroof, and shaved 16lbs from the roof. The previous owners stitch-welded a steel panel in its place, so the roof remains surprisingly rigid.

Welp,

I ran out of time and energy for this project, unfortunately. I have a fella from NY coming up in a few hours to take the car. He and his father have (at least) 4 Corollas so I'm sure they'll put it to good use!

Since I've got my order placed for a Subaru BRZ, hopefully I can keep the spirit alive, and of course I've still got the MR2, so the 4AG love remains strong!

Yeah, I would've liked to have kept this up and made it a drift project but the MR2 and the Z suck up enough time and money already...

Mike "AA01" and his father drove out 4 1/2hrs from New York to pick up the car and took every last part I had, thankfully leaving me with nothing to try to sell/scrap. They own 4 (or more?) Corollas already so I knew it was going to a good home, and from the sound of the cars they've fixed up in the past, this one didn't even seem too bad comparatively. Hopefully with some time and patience they can have it up and running someday soon!

Now, back to prepping my MR2 for the season! Needs new front Konis, sway bar mounting brackets, wheel bearings, timing belt service, and I have to rebuild/replace the gearbox and install my Kaaz LSD.
