So I burned up a piston with the 1st and 2nd ring locked. Ring lands cracked, they cracked on another piston as well. 






And the first of the new additions to the family





Block is with my machinist, shouldn't be long from now, and of course it happens right when the good weather hits. DD doesn't have a targa.

Yea it was my own fault, No 2 injector was a little clogged, so it leaned out the cyl and burned it up. I'm at work atm so i can't see what pipe your asking about, will check later. The injectors are denso 560's, that was also one of my issues, those injectors are 560 at 43.5psi vs the 40 psi i was running. So a slight brain fart but expensive learning experience.

So had me a "heart attack" last weekend, out cruising around i decided that I have enough miles on her to kick up the boost off stock to 10 psi(nothing special). I'm out and about getting on her a bit here and there, everything is feeling great. Get one good highway romp on, pulls like a banshee, turbo is sucking like a starving deer, awesome. Get off the highway, sitting at the light, bump goes the motor starts skipping like a mofo(dead cylinder). I pull off the light and she comes back alive, i pulled over, skipping again. All gauges are in the green, I shut her down, get my buddies flatbed and take her home. It was my daughters birthday so i didn't want to mess with it and get mad so i waited til the next morning. Quick check under the hood, started it up, still skipping, let it get a little warm, shut her down. Pull all the plugs out and do a comp check, all 160ish across the board, I then check plugs, CPS, coils, wires, etc. I'm stumped! I go to move the plugs to my workbench and i hear a "tink", plugs are still in my hand, i pick them up, "tinK", put them down, "tink". The effin porcelain sleeve that covers the electrode had become free and fell down over the tip of one plug, causing the spark to happen up inside the plug. New plugs and all is fine, only have 1500 on the first set. Sorry for the long story but i had to get it out. I miss my boost.
