Shit, I haven't updated this in a while. Basically, we swapped the oil pump out, the motor is now upside down on a stand while the oil pans seal, and I pulled the trigger on an ITS 74dbb, but the car will not be seeing that until late November or early December.

As far as this project goes, we should have the motor in by this Sunday (9/20), and we should fire it up right in time for Vegas.

The black Supra you see there is getting a built block, the upgraded Speed for Sale twins, that R154, and Haltech. Now that project is like two years in the making, and counting.

Update: Motor is back in the car. Lining up the mounts were a fucking bitch, tip for anyone doing it, loosen the motor mounts so you get a little bit of play, then tighten them once they are in. I tightened the motor mounts before dropping the motor in and getting the perfect angle was pretty hard. Oh yeah, and don't forget to put the AC compressor back on while you're dropping the motor in.

I'll have some pictures soon. We will be officially mounting the tranny and motor on Friday, along with modifying the frame for the 3-row pipes, installing the AC compressor and power steering pump, and hopefully getting my new tranny fluid cooler installed, and the front bumper and headlights back on. Should have all that done during the weekend. Then on Monday, Glenn comes down to hook up vacuum lines, finish off the timing belt and crank pulley, and wire in the AEM. Hoping for first startup on a dirty-simple map on Tuesday, but now that Vegas got cancelled, I'm in no hurry. I just want it to run before next weekend.

Yeah I'm not going to Vegas. It got cancelled, then I cancelled my room the next day, and then the day after that it was back on!! I was like WTF!!! But it's okay, Glenn and I are going out to the Texas Nationals next year since I am missing Vegas. He has a two car trailer and we are gonna be rolling with mine and his LS1 swapped Miata that he wants to go tear the road racing course up in hahaha.

It ended up taking this long because it completely snowballed. It started with cams, then I ended up removing the head to get the port/polish, hot tank, and valve job, and from there it went out of control. We modified the twins to run true TTC, took out the butterflies and the actuator for the second turbo. We removed TRAC. I went AEM standalone... It seriously just got out of hand. Thankfully we are finishing things up right now. The main problem is I work 50 hours a week at a laboratory at Eisenhower Hospital and I go to school full time after work too. Really, Wednesdays and weekends are the only days I could ever work on the car.

The latest update is that the motor is back in the car, mounted up, along with the tranny. We got the AC compressor back on as well as the power steering pump. All the turbo pipes are hooked up and all we really have left is the upper intake mani, AEM install and tune, and plugging the wiring harness back in to everything.

Definitely was a learning experience, and that's all I could really ask for. See you soon!
