Exhaust manifold came in.

very nice, I'm impressed. gotta drill and tap for the egt probe and it's set.

Still waiting on the oil squirters, as I'll need them to send the block off. Today is going to be stripping the turbo and oil cooler off my mercedes (parts car...)

Ordered a fuel pump Walbro FPR11. Should do the trick, as the stock lift pump wont move enough GPH.

I'm still wondering about the intake, as I've done noting with it yet. Any have an 8v intake laying around?

T3 from the Merc is seized.

I'm gonna get in contact with superior turbo sometime this week, they should have something laying around.

the iron on the manifold is thick enough to mill a face and tap.

The PO is a moron. Two pistons had the rings aligned (supposed to be 180 degrees apart. You can SEE the oil buildup from the blowby.

I ****ed up in not labeling the connecting rod orientation. If the crank is being polished and new bearings (Glyco bearings) are used, will I run into any problems? They are labeled as to which cylinder they're supposed to be in, just not front to back....

Oil Squirters should be in tomorrow. I'm hoping to drop the block off on friday to get bored, honed and decked. Intermatiate shaft is also getting turned down and the lump for the carb removed.

Heads are in stock, but after getting it machined it'll be a few weeks until I can afford it. I plan on ordering the bearings, oil pump (high flow) windage tray and whatnot when the block comes back, bottom end will be going togeather late next week (not depending on weather - the garage has enough room for an engine stand.)

after that, all it needs is the IP sent out (again...out of funds...)

Just got in from automotive machine.

he's gonna charge $250 for cleaning and checking. Seems high. Shop looked like they knew what they are doing.

I dont know how much boring, decking, linehoning will cost, and I dont want to think about it.

fuel pump and oil squirters came in today.

I plan on doing a t3/t4 hybrid.

cheap, quick. I can concentrate on getting the build done instead of playing with the vnt's control system.

Block will go out tomorrow or friday.

happens...

Blocks in the trunk, being dropped tomorrow. Will need to be lined honed also - the mains looked ugly as I was pulling it all apart. A buddy is machining the intermediate shaft down, and getting rid of the lobe (freebie)

The last of my loan has dried up. I have $200 left for the car and the head and IP/injectors still arnt here, not to mention IC plumbing, machining the oil squirters in, and doing the exhaust up.

The $200 is going toward coating the pistons, getting the high-flow oil pump, windage tray and all engine bearings in. Went to Napa today to get the rest of the tools (minus the torque wrench, anyone got a good beam style I can Borrow?) needed.

I think the projects going to be coming to a hault here shortly for a bit, as I have bills to pay yet, and since Tuesday is my 21st; I have to re-new my drivers license, all my plates, the beer needed, etc....(I'm hitting Dragon Mead in celebration, 9pm Tuesday...)
