Thanks for that pic.
I doubt I'll mount it there. Seems like more of a hassle and getting kinda crowded over there already.
Not a lot of visual progress. Been taking a lot of the parts off the old motor that I need so I can clean them and paint stuff.
So tons of stuff looking new and painted. The old motor though has gotten pretty naked and hideous.
Just need to pull the axles and can get the old motor and tranny out. Then start cleaning the bay, the tranny and new seals for the tranny.
Slowly put it all back together and into the car.

All the rust you see on the right side of the block is where the block is cracked and where coolant had been leaking out for a long time. I was just dealing with it since it wasnt leaking into any of the cylinders.

Update without pics. Sorry. Disgraceful, I know.
I have some on my iphone but not a fan of the low quality. Will get some ASAP with a real camera.

Pressure washed the bay over the weekend. Its night and day. Very clean now. Touched up a few places a PO scarred up the bay paint and its looking pretty good.
Motor is coming together and loads of things now have been repainted.
Just have to paint the tranny and stick it to the block and will mount that back in the car.
Then start adding more and more parts that are now piled everywhere in the garage.

Got a few hours in yesterday. Short block is ready to go in and not gonna bolt more to it till its in the car. Clutch and flywheel are all on it so just need to paint the tranny to get them in the car together. Unforutnately its been raining and will continue to rain they say so thats on hold.
The before...

This is as clean as I care to get it. Will touch up a few more places around the passenger mount area and wax the larger areas.
