Camshafts: stock OBDII - TT276* - TT288*

So I had a couple minutes to spare today and went ahead and put the stock cam and chip back in. As some of you might already know, my work commute just tripled, and gridlock traffic with a 288* cam sucked balls. Plus, I was going through way too much gas per week. The idea of 87 octane right now is very appealing. Surprisingly, even with the stock lump stick and chip installed, it is still pretty peppy. I can TOTALLY feel the power suicide itself @ 4500rpms, but then again, this is coming off a 288* where the motor didn't START making power till 4000rpms! I will utterly miss the power this motor makes, but I hit my goal of 142whp. Now I'm just gonna run it into the ground.

One thing I did notice, and am VERY disturbed over, is that 90% of the intake roar at WOT is....gone. Very weird to not hear that...as well as my idle, which is smooth as silk. (for the first time in 6 years!)

So without further ado, here are a couple pics for you kiddies.

Lobe clearance to the (un-clearanced) lifter bucket with the 288*.

Lobe clearance to the lifter bucket with the stocker.

This one's self explanatory.

And, once and for all, THIS is what I use to line up my crank TDC when I do my timing. (as opposed to the fly wheel mark)
