Got all the remaining parts last night so went right to work this morning on the drain tube. I heard that some people used a brass barb fitting and filed down the threads. Than just put some loctite on it and hammer it in with a mallet. Apparently it's held up well for them for years but as much as I liked the idea of no shavings, I wanted to make sure the drain was secure.

Tapping the block

The return hole in the block isn't angled up too high so the shavings didn't fall into the block. Got a magnet and every couple full turns of the tap, I would clean up the shavings

Fitting only a couple turns on by hand. It looks like it's barely in there but it's got about 1/2"-5/8" of threads in the block. It's not going anywhere

Line pieced together after being cut to size

Installed. Hard to get a picture down there

I was also getting a lot of oil in my intake after just 50 miles of driving so I just plugged the intake size of the crankcase vent.

Let the car idle for a little and blueish white smoke was coming out of the second in line catch can. Looked like an old locomotive. Definitely need to clean out my oil trap.

Drove around for about 25 miles and checked the drain tube. It's bone dry on the outside. Not even a slight film of oil. Happy that the one oil leak is fixed. The old gasket I took off during disassembly was trashed. Oil was just pissing past the missing part of the gasket.

I still get bluish white smoke under medium to heavy throttle. Well about a second after I let off the gas I see a cloud behind me. Oil is still getting onto my downpipe and smoking but not as bad as before. Next mission is finding and fixing that leak so that I don't get crazy smoke anymore.

I also ordered another resonator for my exhaust so let's hope my car gets quiet! I'm so tired of running open downpipe.

I’ll bring back a dead thread! Nice car, I’ve always wanted a 240!
