It took some time but the glass guy finally came over to install the front and rear window from Fesler Built. I have been working with Chris Fesler for about 3.5 years to get to this point. I am really happy with the fit and finish. It really transforms the look of the car.

The side glass is being cut right now. Hopefully it will be installed in the next week.

I need a little advice on a detail I have been thinking about for a long time. It has to do with the center caps. They have been engrave with a prancing moose. The recessed portion is the moose and the shield border. I think I want to add some color to the details. I am torn though. I don’t want it to look busy but I don’t want the detail to be lost either.

Attached is a picture of the cap on the front wheel and the engine cover. The options are:

1) leave it as it is

2) paint the moose and shield the same yellow as the engine cover

3) paint the moose and shield body color

4) paint the moose yellow and the shield line the interior color

5) paint the area inside the shield but not the moose yellow

Thoughts?

Thanks for all the input. The hard part about matching the wheels is that they are powder coated a translucent smoke clear. It may be hard to match but I am going to try.

I am going to take a wheel and my center caps over to my local powder coated and see if he can match the finish. If he can I will coat everything outside the shield. If that works I will be left with the polished shield with the moose in the middle. From there I will play with ideas on what to do if anything for the inside.

Keep it all polished

Yellow shield and polished moose

Yellow shield and black or body colored moose ( like Ferrari)

Body color or black moose with polished shield.

I guess what I want is less polished and more wheel colored.

Bullwinkle now has eyes and a nose. The chin (bumpers and lower valance) will be soon to follow.

Still waiting for the side glass to be cut and installed but it is looking better. The front tow hook looks a little like a horseshoe.  I could use a little luck to get it out of the paint shop.
