I pulled an extra bell-housing out of the garage and decided to do something with it. If you've ever pulled an engine from a car, you know most of the oil dirt and clutch dust is around the bell-housing. I decided to powder coat mine for easier clean up. I went to Color FX in Portland and they were saying they have something that would be perfect. My block and gearbox are black, they had Teflon powder coat that is super slick and easy to wipe. SOLD!

I painted the clutch fork black and cleaned up the boot. Here's your pic!

I just got the intake manifold and fuel rail completed. Let me know what you guys think. I know there are some defects on the manifold, but I'm liking it! I have around 50 hours in sanding alone. The lesson learned is make sure to purchase power tools! Your hands will suffer!

As you guys know, I'm going to be tucking/shaving the engine bay. I was going to run a vacuum tee off the bottom of the manifold, but found something from the Honda guys that works pretty well. Don't worry it's not a Honda part on my classic Volvo. I would get shot for such a thing. The part is called a vacuum block and this is how it works. You run a vacuum line off the bottom of the manifold so nobody sees it. I'll connect the line to the block on the firewall hidden behind the engine. Now all the vacuum lines connect behind the engineinstead of running spaghetti up the manifold. I like the idea of having extra ports or blocks for additional lines down the road.
