Since TT3 bump weight/power from 9:1 to 10:1 ths year and I can't detune my car any lower than 320 whp (mustang) on e85, I have to add 120 lbs of ballast to my car. I was able to get some lead bars that are 65 lbs each. And cut the end tabs off to fit the rear floor perfectly.

finally got the dive plane on and did some testing last weekend at Pocono. Hitting top speed close to 150 mph and they didn't rip off, so that's good. i'll be going to VIR next weekend for Hyperfest and will compare data from last year to see how my corner speed are. but i also added 200 lbs of blast to the back, so that will also change the car's balance for cornering. 


i used used 1/16th sheet to keep the weight down. they came out to around 22 oz each. only did single plane for now. might add another plane on the bottom, that's why i left room at the bottom. my buddy Jason Schmuck welded them. he said to use 1/8th sheet next time, much more easy to weld. they dont flex much at all.

been awhile since i had a chance to update the build. I did Evo X front brake swap a few months ago. one of the best mod i've done yet second to putting abs on the car. wish i would have done this a lot sooner. credit to Marty Grand for giving me the feedback and info how to do it. i did a make a post about it. the toughest part about the swap was trying sell the 5 sets of 17" wheels that i had. lol

set the new NASA TT3 track record for NJMP Thunderbolt with chicane. ambient temp was around mid 40's in the morning, and the A7 were used at the championship event with 6 heat cycles on them. the car was a bit loose as you can see in the vid. the rear took longer to get heat into them with the cold temp.

it wasn't bad since i already had the engine out. not sure how bad it would be with the engine still in. you have to replace all the hard line, abs pump, engine harness and ecu harness inside the car. that requires removing the inside dash to get the harness out. other than that, everything is plug and play.

it's fairly a cheap bbk setup. only thing is it't not reversible if you want to go back to evo 9 calipers. i was thinking machining some sleeves for the mounting hole if i want to put the evo 9 calipers back on for 17" winter wheels for ice racing. which wouldn't be hard to machine. but i decided to just get stock evo x 18" wheels to use for ice racing. also you still have to use the expensive stock size pads. most after market bbk use cheaper pad size. and you do have the advantage of stock evo x rotor option. should be pretty cheap from rock auto for one piece rotors. the cheapest aftermarket MR rotor rings i've found are $400 for a set of two.

took the lower aero off, put the bilstein back on and did some ice racing over the weekend with AMEC at Lake Algonquin, Wells NY

Since I switched to running TT4 this year, I need to make a new splitter to be compliant with TT4 rules. Can't extend more than 4" past the bumper and can't go past the front wheel center line. I also wanted to make it lower than my existing splitter which means it has to be quick disconnect to get on and off the trailer. And also easier to strap down on the dyno at the track. 


Thanks to Chad at CBRD for help welding up the framework.
















New splitter is pretty low. Was scraping during compression on some turns. I'll have to raise it up a little. It can be removed in less than 30 seconds once the car is jacked up.

with the canards removed, but the front splitter lowered, the front feels like it has more grip then before.

finally made it to Lime Rock Park for the first time. fun little track and very challenging to cut time because there are not may corners.

during TT, on only run a few laps and oil temp doesnt go fast 240. but if i stay out the entire 20 minutes session in DE, it does go up to 260, but i haven't seen it past 260. im also not running about of power. 320 whp when i was in TT3 and now 280 whp in TT4.
