I'm not super worried about the torque production going from 250 ft/lb to around 350 ft/lb is pretty decent. This is a used cam that was in my 2005 CTS-V before I built the 383 for it. It was a little doggy if you lugged it around, but that car was even heavier than the blazer. It's a good cam for a DD and best part about it-FREEBIE!

Thanks guys, I look forward to any more thoughts y'all might have.

I didn't document this build very well or post on my progress, but IT"S DONE!

I've been driving it for about a month now with no major problems. I do have one irritating issue on the tune, bank 1 runs rich but the O2 is constantly in a lean state. New O2s and even swapped to one of the old ones, must be in the wiring. Even with that, it is knocking down about 17 MPG with a mix of in town and highway with a heavy right foot from time to time.
I pulled a trailer with it about 70 miles with no problems at all. Low end torque is fine if you play with the spark timing in the lower revs.

This had to be the easiest swap I've ever done, no cutting, and very little "massaging". And this platform with this engine is a perfect balance of power and drive ability. Just love it!

Anyhow, here are some pictures......

Headers seem to work fine The passenger side is very tight up against the fire wall and next to the heater box, but otherwise great clearance.
The radiator is stock and the fans are from an LS1 Camaro (99 - 02).

I finished up my A/C last night (it's hot in TX). I ran a Sanden SD7B10 (7176). It's super tiny, 7in long x 4.5 in diameter. Made a belt tensioner and compressor brackets and ran it down low in the stock location with the 4 groove pulley. No frame cutting and still had about an inch of clearance. This compressor also came stock on a Geo Metro with a 4 groove pulley.

Now if I could just get the problem with bank 1 running rich in closed loop fixed this thing would be ready to go.
