Getting things installed, but had a brain fart. I didn't install the gear indicator for the paddle shift system. It goes behind the clutch, which won't come out unless the motor is pulled (last pic). I guess the motor is coming back out. It shouldn't be too bad, plenty of practice at this point.

ol ... not much.

I pulled the motor back out to install the gear indicator for the paddle shift system (goes behind the clutch basket). When I pulled the clutch basket, I found a bearing race cracked on the main shaft of the transmission. I had to split the engine cases to replace it. I split them, ordered the gaskets and bearing, then let it sit for a year or so....

Just 2 days ago, I got a buddy of mine to come by and clean up all the engine parts and organize it all. He will be back next week to assemble the engine. When done, I'll see about reassembling the car.

I will admit that I temporarily lost interest, though it will get done. I closed my auto repair shop so spend far less time looking at an unfinished project.

I am now playing golf a few times per week and working a lot harder on (talking my wife into) acquiring my red Ferrari 488 spyder. grinning smiley

This is a great build with so much time and effort put into recording in words and pictures. Can you help me with this question please, Is the top arm inner pivot point is in the same place as the original pivot point? Regards Davy
