Thanks N, but I need to upload a lot of pictures,
will have to take them little by little.

Here is one of the ashtray.

Here is a picture of my cars special factory fitted option = "fresh air heater"
This is controlled by 2 cables, so BMC relocated the choke, to a separat bracket next to the steering columm.

Time to move foreward =

I removed the small brass screw in the water pump, and spray lots of WD40 in.
Then I removed the spark plugs, and sprayed the cylenders with even more WD40, and then selected 4th gear, and pushed her back & forth a few times.

After it had been pushed back & forth in 4th gear, for 8 days,
and sprayed with additional WD40, it was time to get her started
I took with me a liter of fresh fuel, connected a battery, and turned the key.
She turned without problems, so I took the carb apart, to clean it.
Inside I noticed that the jet was in bottom = choke had been on, for many years.
I could not make it move, so another carb was fitted, and after a clean of the points, and a tempoary switch of coil she started.

But it didnt stop there - more to come.

Hi all,

with the car startet, it was time for the next job = make it fully functionel.

A pleasant surprice met me, when I removed the front brakedrums = these were apparently fixed at some point ?

The same could not be said about the rear brakes, lots of rust & worn out brake shoes, but the bleeding screws came out, without any problems.
These seem to be made of brass ? (or ?) they are Yellow "ish" and had no rust on them, same front & rear.

Also took both master cylenders off, this was not easy, the clevis pin on the brake pedal had rusted solid  Rolling Eyes fun job.

The next day I took all the rubbers to a old school brake parts place, as they sell the rubber seals seperatly.

Armed with all new rubbers (10 Pounds for all) I returned.

Managed to find a couple of Dunlop diagonal tyres, for the correct look.

After a Little clean =

Also got all the lights working now, and its not just old Works cars from Abingdon, that keep secrets behind their platesWink

Behind my cars current no plate, sat the old original 60ies reg no =

As you can see, did the previus owner notice how Abingdon & other race teams saved weight at the time, so he did the same.

Here is what she looks like now =
