Right, started the ball rolling again today. Put an order in for a set of new tyres amongst some other stuff, will be going to get a set of arches asap as soon as the bank balance allows and should have the doors back at the start of September, just ready for rolling road then Combe...

That's the plan, although none of my plans so far have materialized but there's always a slim chance!

Trial fitted the arches yesterday...

I will get some better pictures if it ever stops raining... :D

Big update...

Headlining goes in...

A bit of tyre soap, a lot of patience and a bit of gentle persuasion and...

In goes the back window

And the front window...

Carbon rear numberplate holder, and numberplate...

Bonnet and both doors...

Outside...

Side windows in, and bonnet raised slightly at the rear. I know, doesn't do a lot, but does look cool :D

Oh, and also note the new Yoko's :( Didn't really think I'd leave old tyres on a car after all this effort did you!?

And now has an MOT so...

We're going to Castle Combe!!! :dontgetit::xxx:

Slark Race Engineering on Friday for engine and suspension set up, ready for a little touch of track action... :P

I'm thinking get rid of front numberplate and put a sticky one on the bonnet though, would look much better in my opinion.

Now finished :D We made it to Combe too, and round Combe for 4 sessions. Handled and went like a dream!

Was going to sell my carbon fibre rocker cover, but instead decided Combe would have to repay itself some other way so put it on the car :)

Tada!

Next plan is electric fuel pump as on fast corners at Combe it stuttered a bit coming out on full chat, stiffen the shocks very slightly and maybe a little extra camber on both front and back wheels. There's also a rev limiter on the cards too, just incase!

I've just done the unthinkable...

It's now up for sale...

I'm fed up with it sitting in the garage doing nothing. I built the car to be driven, which it isn't doing at the moment. Insurance for me just isn;t happening, although my Parents have just insured it with an agreed value and all mods declared for just £160 a year.

I really hope it goes to a good home!

Thanks for those pictures!

Just taken a deposit on him today, so hes definately going! Only about 5 miles away from me though which is nice, the guy is a Mini and VW enthusiast and loved the car so much he said he'd buy it before even driving it =]

Anyway, he'll be joining our club so I'll still see it around at the meets and shows and things.

Just got to sell the other car now and start looking for a more appropriate track project!

Cheers, and I guess this is my final good-bye on this thread!  :P

7:00 onwards, do a little sneaky manouvre on the guy :genius:

And yes, Pickup went on Monday, so this is my final fairwell for definate! And I'm now completely Mini less as I sold the 35 too. Will still attend shows and things, but for the forseable future I won't be driving a Mini!

Toodlepip!
