Went for a drive in it today. Couple more niggles for swifty to sort out:
Dash pot is sticking so have a slight flat spot. New switch needed because oil comes on too early.

Hope to pick it up on tuesday

Enough talking, here are the pictures at last:

I had to take them in the dark but you can see all the bits. Lucas coil, Alloy four core rad, modified rocker cover so you can get the bonnet on:

But all is not cool.
Engine cuts out in low revs.
dash pot is sticking as swifty suggested, or I think not

Please see me thread in technical section for help

Some more good progress. I'm making the car a bit more road friendly as it is my daily driver.
I have re-positioned the choke cable to my centre console..

as it was, belive it or not, on the front bulkhead above the pedals. I used to have to put the choke back in with my foot!

The white dot in the photo is where I filled the old hole for the choke cable with silicone.

and I've also put a nice chunky aluminium sump guard on to protect my lovely engine.

Backing plates were rather too large for my liking so I chopped em to same shape as the Dzus ones.
They are a bit rough at the moment, but the light was fading and it was christmas eve so they'll do for now.
They look better on the car, but I've neglected to take a pic yet.

And Dzus fasteners have gone on the front, being replaced by some nice mountney stainless steel bonnet pins. Very sturdy, safe and easy to get on and off.
I think they look the business too!

The threaded upright part of the pins were too long so I chopped em quickly with me grinder. I then felt a little bit warm on a cold day, which was pleasant...
...until I looked down and my nob area was on fire!

Note the slight singeing of my boxer shorts. Teehee.
Engine is being a bugger though.
First it knackered a lucas coil and lumenition optical eye because the alternator failed battery lost all oomph eventually and sent the two items above loopy!

It has now killed another lumenition eye! I must have a positive earth problem or something. So car is off the road for a bit whilst I overhaul my wiring loom. So I might as well do a few other bits and bits on my days off after the weekend.
