Time for another update. It's been a while but a lot of things have been done to the mini. Most of it you won't see like the wiring that's been sorted out and tucked away nicely now. The dash is finished and put in just like the firewall with the ECU, main relay, resistor and fuse box.
Did some modifications on the cooling circuit and made an extra firewall in front of the exhaust manifold..... This and another million things that have been done.......

Put one chair in so I can take that long awaited testdrivethis week! I can't wait to drive it. Hope all goes well!

After that it's away for allining and the outside paintjob.

Hope to be able to meet up in Germany for the IMM

Pictures!

It will be just a basic car. Fat, low easy and fast!

Proof of the very first drive...........

Out of the garage and on the road!

Let's go!

Now for the first drive!

I know it's not a real funky ride to see and I'm out of sight most of the time but when it's completely done I will make more exiting clips, I promise!

After the first ride it was finally time to light my Cuban!

Made an appointment for monday to get the mini alligned...... Now get cracking on the outside....!!!!

It's been a long time but I've done my share on the mini!

I hate my clutch.... That's for sure. I wasted 3 cable on it (probably due to my trust in crappy lines.... )
I ordered a proper one tonight and hope for the best next time. Will be a week delay. GGGggggrrrrrr!!!

For the time being I wasted my time in the back yard. I painted the bonnet, bootlid and the doors. Result is acceptable.

Here are some pictures! I hope you like!

Hi,

the cable I ordered didn't work also. I tried one more time with another cable but no result, again. In the end I even bended my pushing it so hard....! then I was fed up and I took it all out and ordered myself a new mini master cilinder and a Wilwood slave cilinder. All I have to do now is wait for the cable and connections and make myself a new bracket for the slave cilinder.....

This time it better work!

In the mean time I began sanding the car. At guy from down my street helped me tonight. We got a long way but we are not there yet.....

Quick update...

I replaced the cable cluch with the hydrolic. Works perfect! It's as smooth as silk now.

Drove it up and down the street a couple of times now and I'm very happy with it. I also found the problem I had with the engine not running constandly steady when hot... It turned out to be a leaking PCV valve.

Here are some pictures of my final oil catch can installation....
