Had the classic on the rolling road last Friday, made 90bhp at the wheels. The operator said there is room for more power, its just a matter of me playing around with the megajolt.

I was using Asda pump fuel, nothing fancy...

Thank you all for your kind words, there's still room for improvement. Since making the water jackets around the carburetor pipe to the supercharger there is now no hesitation when left to tick over for long periods of time.

Cars really torque. I’m going to put some high octane fuel in and then write another map, recon we should see 100bhp at the wheels then. Key thing is reliability!!!

It can on the older R53 superchargers that have rotor grey in colour, when they get hot the coating can peel off. If you used the face lift/JCW conversion supercharges they used a supercharger that have rotors cover in Teflon which is black in colour and are much more dual able

Sorry for the late reply, we moved house 2 weeks ago any only just got broadband back!!!!!

I've thought about making some more manifolds and I've been asked for a price, problem is no one will pay what I'm asking.

Power wise, after asking a few mini tuners who have knowledge in this setup told me there is no way you'll see more than 130bhp at the flywheel, which is about what we have. I've seen no proof with dyno figure to see any other supercharged setup with anymore power. At the end of the day its driveability that counts not massive bhp which can be unreliable!!

Good luck with your degree!!!

I do alot of work in the motorsport world! I'm just about to make a aluminium twin core radiator. Minworld are popping over to see me and the classic in 2 weeks time....

Ok, next step is to make an aluminum radiator, I've used a twin core set up, both tubes 22m in width.

I have a few questions about your catch can. Where did you get it? there are 2 pipes on the side - what are those running? Looks like you have a breather up near the radiator - where is that one connected? I am in the process of doing my own supercharger and I am just trying to sort out the breather now. Thanks.
