ok heres the 4 link update, done about as much as i can without my heims here, so hopefully tomorrow ill be able to get her finished up after class

to start, got the cutting brake in and a couple buddies ran the lines. going to make a new handle that folds up out of the way when not wheelin...

truss tacked in and checking clearance at full bump

support panels goin on

starting upper link tabs

nick and herschel fitting the peices

took a hanger and bent it around the housing to get the shape, traced it onto some cardboard, then cut it out of 3/16s with the plasma

gettin dirty...

nice and tight!

sexy weld

sexy truss

more sexy welds

completed truss

heres the frame brackets so far, going to add a lot of support once its welded in place

cont...

for the sway bar link mounts i thought id get creative since i cant do much else without my heims

and last but not least Beer-a-myd!

like i said, hopefully the heims how up tomorrow and i can place the frame brackets and get them clearanced, drill all my holes and cut my links

2-2-2011

its done!

heims finally showed up, but without the misalignment spacers so i drilled all the holes out to 5/8 and took a piece of 2" square tubing (measures just ever 2" wide) and also drilled a hole in it and bolted the tabs to it while i welded.

uppers

lowers

sway bar mounts and primer

here are the frame brackets, holes allow for 50% and 70% AS

in place

the issue...

bc im using the 2.5" box its hard to space things away from the frame and i thought i had enough room... but alas... time to start cutting more...

in the mean time (to keep all the guys helping me busy) we went ahead and mocked everything up with PVC so they could cut the links

so while i worked on the frame notches the links got cut and the 8.8 got painted

and then another issue... but i knew it was gonna be the case. bc i run 5" of uptravel on 2.5" of lift, sometimes things get in the way of each other. nd i wasnt about to compromise the geometry i wanted bc of a little sheetmetal

heres another clearance problem that i havnt taken care of yet, the lowers hit the frame with about 3/4 " of travel
