Hey man post a pic of what your trying to fix. We may be able to help you out a bit.

If there are holes in parts of the "frame" you may be ablt to gring out the rusty spots til you reach good metal and then make a panel to fit the hole you made and weld in the patch panel. ITs easier to try to use a peice of cardboard to try to get the shape of the patch panel right before you try to make it from steel. Alot less time consuming. But if you take this approach DO NOT DRIVE the Jeep until the "patch panel holes" are welded up and made solid again. It will make your "frame" really weak and you may tweak your uni-body beyond repair if you do....

They also make "frame stiffiners" for Zj's. You may want to check them out too. Espically if you give the patch panel *IDEA* a try....

Well I had a really easy BORING day at work today so in my free time I went down and hit up the guy in the machine shop. He fired up the lathe and cranked two of these braces for my winch in no time...

Then I rounded up all my spare parts and stuck them together. Now I have an 8k h2o too...

I still need to order the seals that go on either side of the drum and either find some cheap cable or get some synthetic rope for it. Then I need to figure out how, or where, to mount the thing on the back of my Tj.

It was a PITA getting the brake assembly into the drum. I ended up having to stick the whole assembly into the freezer for about an hour so that it would slide into the drum...IDK what the deal was.
