Offset is the mm measurement from the center of the wheel to the back of the mounting pad of the wheel.
A 0 offset would be the mounting pad exactly in the center of the wheel...
A + offset moves the face to the outter edge of the wheel...
A -offset moves the face of the wheel to to the back edge of wheel...
20x11 +60 with a 305 tire seems to be a great combo without rubbing. For every .5 inch taken away from the rim, you would need to subtract 6.35 from the offset to come up with the same size round up or down since offsets only come in round numbers.

20x10.5 +54
20x10.0 +47
20x9.5 +41
Keep in mind that tire width makes a difference as different manufactures have different widths. I had a 20x10.5 with a +53 with a 295 Michelin PSS and had a very slight run over big dips. A +54 would have been perfect. Others have stated that the x11 with a PSS 305 was perfect also. My fronts were a 20x9 with a +43 and a 255 tire without any issues at all. I could have gone a bit more aggresive with the front.
