Eyes on Design is a car show located in St. Clair Shores Michigan on one of Henry Ford properties. Here of some of my favorite spots from the event.

Customs:

This beautiful classic Ford I believe is owned by one of the head designers in the area (don’t think he works for Ford.)

Believe this is a customized Lincoln Zephr (sorry I’m not the best with old cars.) The rear was long and it looked awesome lowered to the ground.

2015 Randy Grubb designed vehicle. Same gentleman that made Jay Leno’s tank car, this was a beauty. You can tell this was a handmade, sculpted piece of art.

This has to be the biggest supercharger I’ve ever seen!

New Nissan Z:

The new 2023 Nissan Z. First time seeing it in the flesh and I think it looks pretty nice. The representative wouldn’t go into too much detail as available specs and wouldn’t start the engine. The size is great, not too big or small and the interior I really like. I think this could be a hit if they stay around their announced price tag. I really look forward to seeing upper trims of this model.

Rare Italian Designs:

I’m not really sure too much about these too besides I believe they are Italian designed.

Vector W8 Twin-Turbo

The Vector W8 twin turbo is an extremely rare car with only 22 units built. It has a 6.0L Rodeck twin turbo racing engine, producing 600+ HP and 600+ ft-lbs of torque. The engine could make substantially more power with tweaked boost pressures. Amazing vehicle to see, I’ve seen it here at Eyes on Design and at Concours d’Elegance, it’s definitely a car you’ll remember.

Prototype:

1969 AMC AMX/3 was a prototype car which never came to be. The lines and looks makes it one to compete with Panteras and Mangustas . The color was stunning.

Random Spots:

Not sure what this one was, sorry.

It’s hard to see in this photo but this was the most elaborate dash I’ve ever seen of any car. There was someone displaying it and stated this was made for the “Rat Pack” and very few were ever made.

Some cars look unique, have the right proportions, great colors, and seem to hit all the right spots. This was one of them for me: 1954 Fiat 1400 Vignale Cabriolet.

Micro Cars:

1960 Vespa 400: this was a cute micro car. With only about 14 HP this was a perfect little commuter car and has the looks too.

Fins on a micro car!

Muscle Cars:

Now onto the muscle car section. As being in Detroit, the rarest of rare and unusual are on display for all to see. This 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator looks great with this paint scheme.

1969 AMC Hurst Scrambler A-Scheme.

1969 AMC Hurst Scrambler B-Scheme

Rare Classics:

1956 Packard Carribean: sorry I’m not saying too much with these cars. Honestly I just don’t know too much about them.

Rambler Rebel: first time I’ve ever seen one of these!

1948 Tucker Model 48: only 51 units made I’ve been lucky to see a handful of them so far. Definitely one of those bucket list you gotta see it at least once. Such a unique vehicle.

A real original Cobra, I’m not sure if this is the one that is frequently driven to Pasteiners on Saturday mornings. This one looked pristine comparatively.

 Sunbeam Tiger.

Some oldies that I don’t know much about besides they look good.

This thing has a huge Detroit Diesel engine in it. They started it up and revved it quite a lot!

That was the lot of pics I took from the event this year, hope you enjoyed the read!
