Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer a very unique 1971 GMC Sprint. The Sprint was GMC's version of the Chevrolet El Camino. Initially it was the same car save for nameplates and subtle trim differences. The car was built on the Chevelle station wagon/4 door sedan platform. Engines available ranged from a 250 CI I6 to a 454 big block. This particular Sprint has undergone a frame off restoration and looks beautiful. Since being completed it has only traveled about 500 miles. The car is finished in a glossy coat of red with black stripes that scream Chevy. The Sprint specific hub caps make the truck stand out from the run of the mill El Camino. Under the hood you'll find a 350 CID V8. It is a replacement crate engine, but it has been dressed with the correct valve covers/air cleaner/etc to appear factory. The car is equipped with air conditioning which blows cold. It is a well equipped truck with AC, AM/FM/Cassette, power steering, power brakes, vinyl interior, seat belts, hub caps, and raised white letter radial tires. The interior has been beautifully reupholstered in a very sharp white and saddle vinyl which covers the split bench and the door panels. The white inserts really help it stand out from your typical mono-tone interior. The car is equipped with a smooth shifting TH350 3 speed automatic transmission which is selected on the column. This makes for a comfortable vehicle which is ready for the open highway. The condition of the car since being restored is impeccable and it could easily be put into a show. This is one that will catch some looks wherever you take it. Located in our St. Louis Showroom, this 1971 GMC Sprint can be seen including 50+ HD pictures and video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
