so, saturday i replaced the wheel stuff, and it drives agaim. although the battery was completely dead for some reason or another, and i happened to be at the autozone autoparts store when i forgot to keep it running, and shut it off. the battery said up yours and would not even take a jump from a new battery. as it turns out this is the third battery now in the car as they replaced in the two year free replacement policy. now to get yet another alighment and it's good for a while i hope. i also noticed that it runs really, really well since all the oil drip dried out of the maf area, and maybe because the battery died and reset the computer if that is possible, as i don't think that this is a self learning cpu. like most that i read about in the forced induction thread, i see a stand alone cpu in my future. now to get some time to install the techtonics downpipe and the testpipe to see what gains are to be made there. hope it puts a little more rumble in my seat.

and then, it was around 12:30 am and i did not notice the two deputies at a gas station when i made a turn and did a second to third gear pass. the deputies noticed and after i pulled over said " you sure opened it up huh, slow it down a bit". good thing i feed them at the restaurant i work at. they just did not remember the car. by the time they puled on the road and i saw the lights, radar went off, i hit 85 in a 45 and was slowed down to around 50 when the v1 detector said hay, behind you is a radar gun. it took them atleast a half a minute to catch up. careful with that ax eugene.

so, as it stands, because i was attacked by my neighbors dog and i am not really able to do the full work load, i think me and my son might go to waterfest after all. just a thought. wonder how much fun a guy could have at such a event....

going to swap to the samco hoses and flush it out. maybe even get the tt downpipe and test pipe installed as well. paint is coming up next. to be continued.....

no waterfest for me.....hoses and flush this saturday i hope though...

long time has passed. changed all hoses and coolant. next in line is the lugtronics computer. after that, finally, i say finally some paint. although i will remove the front bumper and skirts, go back to a bone stock stance. meanwhile those parts will go on the other rado that will be turbo's.

so today i got the lugtronics ecu. now to put the car on stands, replace the downpipe with the tt one i have, remove the cat and insert the test pipe with new wideband 02 that came with the ecu.

so after waiting for quite some time now to sort out the lugtronics tune on the standalone, i really wanted to drive the car again. so i pluged in the oem ecu without the o2 hooked up. i also replaced the maf with a used one from a fellow member and the car screams. no 5500rpm cutoff in any gear. mind you the a/f's are not correct, but tolerable while kevin figures out why the car won't start unless it has been pre-warmed up on the oem ecu. well i also got the part from gruven.com for the shifter just because i wanted a shorter side to side throw. even though i was not aware, the oem plastic one is cracked. who would have funked it. good stuff from this company i tell you. now i am still looking forward to the pulley that will have less slip as well that gruven is gonna have as mine slips from time to time. 10psi is much more fun over 6-7psi when it slips.
