few pics of recent work. We got the taillights frenched in, got the rollpan made and cut out the openings for the exhaust tips, we cut and moved the frame in 2 inches around where the rear tires will go that along with the little mini tubs that we made from trailer fenders we gained 4" in for bigger tires. the tire in the picture is a 305 we had kickin around we will end up with 295s - 315s but the 315s will be pushing it as the rear rims are only 10" wide

here is a pic of the rims we order they are American Racing vn425s we went with 17x7s up front with 4 inch backspacing and 17x10 in the rear with 5.5" back spacing should give us a nice staggered look while still being able to get a good amount of sidewall to our liking .... here is a picture of a truck that we kinda liked we are going to weld up our hood like this and we would like to do our headlights like this aswell and paint the chrome to match the body color which is electric blue at the moment with darker blue ghost flames also we think we will be lowering the head lights like in the last picture

and here is the kicker we dont want to half *** anything on this truck that being said there is no way we are gonna get to drive it this year do to the limited time we get to work on it which is a few hours after work and on weekends and as it gets nicer out we can kiss working on the weekends good bye so what we were thinking is to finish the little bit of boxing the frame we have left and any other welding that needs to be done to the frame and paint it along with the underside of the cab and spray the rest of the truck in primer, make the fuel tank, drop the good motor and trans in, plum and wire the truck, and mount a temporary seat in it hopefully by the end of june and have some fun and work out the bugs this summer and go to shows with our "rat rod" then in in the fall tear it back down do the front mods, interior, body work and paint and the bed floor and install the vintage air ac and any other finishing touches... so like a good or bad idea?

... forgot to mention we also will be cutting the back of the rear fender so they sit about an inch below the bottom of the rollpan
