RUST BE GONE!! After priming this, time to focus on the rust. There was substantial rust under the battery tray, so we cut it out and welded. Then applied body filler, then primed it. Missing a photo of it primed after the body filler , but you get the gist. Luckily this was one of the only places to display rust on the mustang. Heavy duty rust working is laborious, so ideally when buying a project car - choose one with less rust! .

Tools needed ?: Engel grinder, Dremel, welder, body filler, primer. .
