I finally Decided it was time for a front locker to help me out on the trail. After hours of research I decided to order a Aussie Auto Locker for my Front Dana 30. I went with the XD-13027 and found a great deal for one here on the jeep forum classifieds! (man I love those haha)

I used the instructions from 4x4xplor.com and they walked me threw step by step of the install. http://www.4x4xplor.com/aussielocker.html

Taking the carrier out was much harder then and instructions or any way We could find on line and the only method that finally worked was to use a ratchet strap around the carrier back up to the frame (make sure to hook it to the jeep its self or else you will pull it off the jackstands) and then cinching it as tight as it could possible go, (even compressing the springs as it went) and then using the pry bar and hammer after that and even will all that tension it bearly slid out.

After that the rest of the install went pretty smooth and its all in and working!

and yes even with the 85W 140 gear oil it sure ckicks when you make a sharp turn to remind you its there so I named it Mr. Clickly So far I havnt noticed it at all in 2WD and it seams to pass all the test to be working.

I cant wait to go hit the trail and test the locker out!
